By Staff | Jul 13, 2011

Blue Eagle graduates Amy Klug and Jessica Goddard will represent Magnolia High School in the McDonald’s All-Star Band Flag Corp July 24 at Wheeling Island Stadium. These two ladies have been members of the Magnolia High School Band for four years and were co-captains. During their careers at MHS, the Blue Eagle Flag Corps won first place in the 2010 Forest Festival parade at Elkins.

They will both head to Bethany College July 17-23 to prepare for the OVAC All-Star event, along with more than 100 band and flag corp participants from Ohio and West Virginia.

These ladies thank their families for always being there and supporting them along the way. They also want to thank MHS Band Director Amanda McPherson for always helping them and for being a great instructor, giving them opportunity to become part of the OVAC Flag Corp.

Amy is the daughter of Denise and Jim Klug and will be attending WVU in the fall to study elementary education. Jessica, daughter of Lorie Dawson and step-daughter of Israel Dawson, will attend Marshall University in the fall to begin work on a degree in medical laboratory technology.
