To kickoff the beginning of the 2011-12 ‘Subway Sports Clinic Series’ the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference will be hosting its eighth annual free youth football clinic in conjunction with the ‘Rudy Mumley OVAC All-Star Charity Football Classic presented by Huntington Bank and WTOV9.’ 

The clinic will take place the day of the game on July 24 at the Wheeling Island Stadium. 

Registration will take place at the stadium from noon to 12:45 p.m.  The clinic will last from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and will be directed by OVAC football coaches, including members of Coach Chris Daugherty’s Wheeling Park High School football staff.  Tim Weaver and the Bethany College Football staff will assist as well.

The instructors will teach the basic fundamentals of football with a focus on building self-esteem. The clinic is free and open to boys and girls ages six to 13.

Parents or legal guardians are required to have insurance and be present the day of the clinic to sign a waiver form.
