The Magnolia Blue Eagles held their Annual Senior Sports Banquet Sunday, May 16 at the high school, where the Athletic Boosters showed their appreciation to all the school’s coaches, senior athletes and parents for their contribution to excellent athletic programs during the 2010-11 season.

Following dinner, the Gerald Hammer Award, presented by Lodge 931, Loyal Order of Moose, was presented to the top male and female athletes of the year, Justin Fox and Padyn Ludewig. The Charlie Morris Grasshopper Scholarship was presented to Jordan Moore and Padyn Ludewig, while the Nim Priest and Esther Felliez Awards went to Matt Sapp and Abbey Horner for baseball and softball, respectively.

The Edgar Rush Award was presented to Justin Fox and the Junior Football Scholarship went to Cameron Benson for football and Shana Street for cheerleading. Aly Smith and Timmy Shreve were awarded the Magnolia Athletic Booster Scholarship.

The MHS Boosters recognized 44 senior athletes from all the school sports and presented seniors with plaques and letters by MHS Booster President Greg Bohrer and MHS Principal Kathi Schmaltz. Each head coach spoke briefly their senior athletes.
