Annual ‘Follow Your Dream’ Basketball Clinic Detailed

Ohio University Eastern will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by hosting a free youth basketball clinic on Jan. 17 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Health and Physical Education Center. The clinic is open to boys and girls in grades K-6.

OUE Athletic Director E. J. Schodzinski and OUE Men’s Basketball Coach Donnie Madzia will direct the clinic and will be assisted by the OUE hoop squads, as well as area high school coaches and players.

The “Follow Your Dream” clinic will focus on the FUNdamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense.

The clinic is free, but all participants are asked to bring a winter jacket, canned goods, or a gently used book, which will be used to help the community.

All donations will be delivered to the Bethlehem Apostolic Temple. In addition, parents are invited to make use of the OUE Fitness Center during the clinic as well.

Schodzinski said, “Ohio University Eastern is proud to celebrate Dr. King’s life and promote his message of service to others on this very special day.

“Our players and coaches are really looking forward to it.”
