Mountaineers Beat Bearcats, 37-10

The West Virginia Mountaineers got back to their winning ways Nov. 13 in Morgantown, defeating the Cincinnati Bearcats 37-10.

WVU quarterback Geno Smith tossed four first-half touchdowns that included two touchdown passes each to Tavon Austin and Jock Sanders.

The Mounties defense added a safety and Noel Devine chipped in a 13-yard touchdown run. WVU moved the chains 29 times, while the Bearcats moved them 15 times. West Virginia had 419 total yards, while the Mountaineer defense limited the high-powered Cincinnati offense to only 281 total yards, with only 60 yards coming from the running game.

West Virginia will travel to Louisville Nov. 20 at noon to take on the Cardinals before traveling to Pittsburgh Nov. 24 to take on the Panthers in the “Backyard Brawl” with a TBA.
