Miller Wins OV Match Play

John Miller edged Larry Henthorn, 222-206, to win week five of the 33rd annual match play event. Miller won $80, complements of weekly sponsor Buddy Light Accounting and Tax Services.

Chuck Fisherkeller III was the two-game high qualifier with games of 263 and 214 for a 477. Miller eliminated last week’s winner Lloyd Cross, 201-182, in one semifinal, while Larry Henthorn ousted Jim Agar 216-175 in the other semifinal match.

Brent Conaway continues to lead the point list with 160 points, while Lloyd Cross is second with 140 points. Ron O’Neil Jr. is third with 110 points, while John Leek is fourth with 100 points. Chuck Fisherkeller is fifth, rounding out the top five in the point list. The top 24 on the point list qualify for the grand finale, while the top eight will earn a first round bye.

Tournament sponsors Miller Light, Buddy Light Accounting and Chuck Ludewig Insurance Agency guarantee the finale’s top prize of $1,000.
