Lloyd Cross Wins Weekly OV Match Play Event By Two Pins

Lloyd Cross edged Chet Richmond 214-212 to win week three of the 33rd annual match play event. Cross won $75, compliments of weekly sponsor Wetzel-Valley Agencies.

Kevin Lude was the two-game high qualifier with 235-279 for a 514 total. Cross eliminated last week’s winner, Brent Conaway, 255-214, in one semifinal, while Richmond ousted Arnold Isner, 235-216, in the other semi.

Conaway leads the point list with 145 points, while Cross is second with 90 points. Others on the list are Chris McSwain, 80 points; John Leek, 70 points; and Rich Erlewine, 55 points, to round out the top five bowlers.

The top 24 on the point list qualify for the grand finale with the top eight earning first round byes. Tournament sponsors Miller Lite, Buddy Light Accounting, and Chuck Ludewig Insurance guarantee the finale’s top prize of $1,000.
