In the final WTTL Meet at Tyler Consolidated, it was the Ritchie boys taking home the high point total with 118 points, while the Magnolia Blue Eagle boys came in second with 103 points. Tyler Consolidated was third with 85 points, while Paden City and the River Pilots placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

The Eagles’ 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x 400 and their 4 x 800 meter relay teams each beat Tyler relay teams, while the Knights’ shuttle team beat Ritchie County.

Josh Bennett from Paden City finished second in the 300 meter hurdles, while taking top honors in the long jump – just nosing out Magnolia’s Brendan Kacor. Steve Rogalski of Magnolia out-leaped all his competitors in the high jump, while Matt Riggs finished in second place in the shot put and discus.

Kacor also placed second to Nate Taylor of Tyler in the 100 meter dash, while Dylan Potts of River finished second to Taylor in the 200 meter dash. Blue Eagle Nick Blatt finished second to Taylor in the 400 meter dash.

Payton Hinkley of Paden City finished second in the 110 meter hurdles, while Joe Feeney of Magnolia finished second to Aaron Estep of Tyler in both the 800 meter run and the 1,600 meter run. Nathan Harshberger nosed out teammate Bill Feeney for first place in the 3,200 meter run.

In the Barnesville Relays the River Pilots Dylan Potts won both the 100 meter dash and the 400 meter dash.

The finale of the WTTL was held at Tyler Consolidated High School April 27, with the Ritchie County girls winning with 118 points and Tyler coming in second with 97 points. The Lady Pilots finished third, Magnolia fourth and Paden City placed fifth.

The Lady Pilot 4×800 meter relay team finished in the top spot, while their 4×200 team finished one spot behind winner Ritchie County. Chelsea Smith and Desi Hinkle placed first and second in the shot put, while Hinkle took top honors in the discus. Also for the Lady Pilots, Cassidy McCullough and Randa Imhoff each finished second in the 400 meter dash and the 800 meter, respectively.

The Eagles’ Alli Childers once again won the girls’ high jump with a leap of 4’10, while Holly McDonald ended up in second place in the long jump. Brittany Leek was second in the 100 meter hurdles.

The Lady Wildcats knocked off Tyler Consolidated and Magnolia in the 4×100 meter shuttles, while Amanda Sellers won the 100 meter hurdles.
