MHS Cheerleaders Runner-Up In OVAC AAA

The 19th Annual OVAC Cheerleading Competition is over and area teams Magnolia finished up as runner-up in Class AAA, while River and Paden City both finished fifth place, in the Class AA and Class A, respectively.
More than 400 cheerleaders from 35 schools competed for four different titles, with St. Clairsville just edging out the Lady Eagles in Class AAA for the second straight year, while Linsly took the crown rom last year’s champion, River, in Class AA.
The Lady Eagle cheerleaders executed a marvelous dance routine and gave a delightful cheer that had the entire crowd at WesBanco take notice.
Magnolia cheerleaders were up against some great teams and they turned in what many thought was one of their very best performances ever at the OVAC Championships. But, they finished runnerup again to the Lady Devils of St. Clairsville.
Magnolia also placed second in the Region One crown earlier this season where they executed an exceptional performance with a near-flawless routine. They are still waiting to compete in the state tournament, which was postponed months ago.
