The Shadyside Tigers jumped out to a 14-2 lead over the River Pilots and went on to prevail 60-40 Feb. 1 at R.L Potts Gymnasium.

Lady Pilot Jordan Ramsay had a career night. She tallied a game-high 26 points, including seven three-point baskets, while Emily Griffith contributed six points. Autumn Beisel tallied four markers, while Alexa Isaly was limited to one basket.

The Wheeling Central Maroon Knights outscored the River Pilots 27-11 in the second half to win 34-26 in OVAC Class AA Girls’ Consolation basketball action, Feb. 8 at R.L. Potts Gymnasium.

The Lady Pilot defense held the powerful Maroon Knights to only seven first-half points, but only scored 15 points themselves to take an eight point lead at the break. However, Central turned things around in the second half of play , while the Pilots couldn’t sustain any offensive attack.

Autumn Beisel tallied nine points to lead River, while Alexa Isaly added six points, including one basket from beyond the arc. Emily Griffith and Jordan Ramsay contributed four and three markers, respectively, while Emily Dierkes and Megan Beard each netted a deuce.
