Lady ‘Cats Fall Twice
Amid unnecessary Paden City miscues and other turnovers, the Lady Wildcats succumbed 73-30 to the Beallsville Blue Devils Feb. 4 at Bob Burton Gymnasium.
The Lady ‘Cats scored the first points of the game, but by intermission, Beallsville had pulled ahead 15-4 and never relinquished the lead all the way.
Paden City closed the gap a little in the second period, scoring 11 points to Beallsville’s 17 points to got to the break with the Blue Devils in charge, 54-21.
Alli Bertozzi paced the Lady ‘Cats with eight points, while Amanda Tallman and Amanda Heasley evenly divided a dozen markers. Tallman’s points all came from beyond the arc, while Heasley netted three baskets. Dominique Craft and Courtney Conaway each nailed a three pointer and a deuce for the Lady Wildcats.

Alli Bertozzi scored 12 points and pulled down 16 rebounds against Tyler Consolidated on Feb. 1, but it went all for naught, as the Tyler Consolidated Lady Silver Knights defeated Paden City at Kidwell, 50-34.
Wildcat freshman Megan Cutlip followed Bertozzi with seven points, while sophomore Amanda Heasley chipped in six tallies and Amanda Tallman four points. Sophomore Dominique Craft netted three markers, while Erika Sapp added a deuce for the Lady Wildcats.
The Wildcats missed 20 free throws that would have given them the win.
