Crusaderettes Nail Eagles’

Padyn Ludewig ripped the nets at Parkersburg Catholic on Feb. 1 for 26 points that included a basket from beyond the, but it went all for naught as Parkersburg Catholic defeated Magnolia 67-48.

Catholic jumped out to a 21-12 lead after the first eight minutes of play, but the young Eagles fought back with a 14-point burst to slice the Lady Crusaderettes’ lead by three and go to the locker room down 26-32.

However, Parkersburg regained their shooting form and extended their advantage to 52-37 with eight minutes to go. Both teams locked horns in the final period of play, but it was the Crusaderettes that outscored the Eagles 15-12 to gain the nod.

Following Ludewig in points was Jordan Babe with eight points that included a long range bomb, while Marissa Bosley contributed five points. Lindsay Cain, Dallas Mullett and Tori Tharp finished off the Eagle total with positive points.
