Pilots Even Record At Five
The River Pilot Boys Basketball Team improved to 5-5 on the season after knocking off Monroe County rival Beallsville 62-48 Jan. 11 at Blue Devil Gymnasium.
The Pilots led by a bucket after one period of play and increased their lead to 30-23 at intermission. Beallsville outscored their guests by one point in the third period, before River went on a 23-15 run to win going away.
Pilot senior shooting guard Dylan Potts dropped in a game-high 20 points, while Jordan Potts tallied 16 markers, including four triples to lead the Pilot offensive attack. Tucker Brown added 11 points, while Zac Wax chipped in five points. Sam Ramsier and Tyler Jeffers each tallied four points, while Jordan Indermuhle sank a two pointer to finish all the Pilot scoring.
Blue Devil Sam Jackson lead all scorers with 21 points in a losing effort by Beallsville.
