‘Cats Lose Two Games

The Paden City Lady Wildcats lost a pair of road games this past week. On Dec. 30 the Lady ‘Cats fell behind 21-10 after one period of play against Tyler Consolidated and scored only five points in the third period, to fall 60-46.

Alli Bertozzi paced the Lady ‘Cats with 25 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, while Megan Cutlip netted seven points and six steals. Other Wildcats denting the scoreboard include Erika Sapp with six, Dominique Craft with four points, and Courtney Conaway and Amanda Tallman with two points each.

On Jan. 2, Paden City traveled to Bellaire to take on the St. John Lady Irish. The ‘Cats stood tough for three periods of play and were down only six points heading into the final eight minutes of play. However, they managed only two points in the period, while the Lady Irish torched the nets with 18 to claim a 61-39 victory.

Bertozzi led her team with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Tallman tallied eight markers. Both Cutlip and Craft scored seven points for Paden City, while Sapp contributed three points.

The Lady ‘Cats will travel to Cameron Jan. 7 with the junior varsity game set to tip off at 6 p.m.
