Hornets Lose, 27-0
The Hundred Hornets’ junior quarterback Tyrell Watson threw for 143 yards, but it wasn’t enough as the Cameron Dragons rained on the Hornets’ Homecoming, 27-0 Friday at Cosgray Field in Hundred.
The muddy conditions wreaked havoc on the ground game for Hundred who only had 25 yards rushing on the night, with Zach Watson leading the way with 10 yards. Logan McDiffitt and Zach Phillips split 15 yards. McDiffitt hauled in 89 passing yards, while Phillips added 47 and Zach Watson and Dalton Kuhn split the rest.
Defensively Roger “Bubba” Stalnaker dropped 20 Dragons, including a quarterback sack, while Zach Watson contributed 10. Chris pounded six Dragons, while knocking down a pass and McDiffitt added six solo tackles.
The Hornets lost Dalton Kuhn to a broken foot and is out for the season.
Hundred will look for their first win of the season Oct. 16 at Gilmer County with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
