Against John Marshall on Sept. 22, the Ladies in Blue walked away with an easy 25-9 first set win. However, Magnolia had to earn the second and third sets the hard way, in overtime, 27-25 and 27-25.

In the match with the Linsly School Sept. 24 at the HammerDome, Magnolia came out firing and never let up throughout, gaining the three set match, 25-14, 25-11, and 25-15.

Heasley led all scorers with 26 points, including two service aces. She also had a pair of kills. Hanna and Potts scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, with Hanna adding one kill and two blocks. Harlan contributed eight points, one service ace, three kills, and one blocked shot. Jackson scored four points and had four kills, while Makensie Dawson came off the bench to score a season-high 16 points in the victory.
