PCHS Alumnus Inducted To Semi Pro Football Hall Of Fame

Stephen Casteel of Ouiedo, Fla. was recently inducted into the Southwestern St. Semi-Pro Football League Hall of Fame 2009.

Coach Casteel led the “Rage” a semi-pro football team as head coach from 2004 until 2007 when he retired. During Casteel’s tenure as head coach, the Rage garnered three championships and amassed an overall record of 44 and nine for a winning percentage of 83 percent.

Steven graduated from Paden City High School Class of 1974, playing football under the leadership of coach Hen Healey and coach Ron Renner who he credits for his love of the game.

Steven and his wife Sandy are the parents of son Jason; a daughter Danielle and a grandson Jorden.

He is the son of Glen and Patti Casteel of Paden City and brother of WVU Defensive Coordinator Jeff Casteel. He also has a brother Rick and a sister Keristin.
