The Hundred boys’ basketball team got major contributions from several players as they rolled past OVAC Class A number one seed Bishop Donahue 70-65, in a Mason-Dixon Conference clash Thursday, Feb. 12 at the Hornets Nest.
Corey Kimble scored 21 points and hauled in 13 boards. Emery Smith also secured a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds performance to as the Hornets improved their season record to 10-5, while the mighty Bishops fell to 11-6.
Dalton Kuhn also hit in double figures with 14 points, including two baskets from beyond the arc. He also had three steals, while Logan McDiffitt and Zach Phillips each netted eight points in the victory.
The hosts took control of the game in the first half and led 30-24 at the break. But, the Bishops came storming back to overtake the Hornets 52-49 going into the fourth period.
However, leadership of Hornet upperclassmen showed a lot of maturity down the stretch and took care of business to get the win.
