2009 Golf Privilege Cards Available Throughout WV
Looking for that unique gift that will be up to ‘par’ for the golfer in your life? Consider the 2009 Golf Privilege Card. It offers free and/or discounted green fees at 61 courses in West Virginia, 29 in Pennsylvania and four in New Jersey. All proceeds from the card benefit the American Lung Association in West Virginia.
Now in its 29th year, the West Virginia Golf Privilege Card features more than 90 courses in three states. It is valued at more than $2,000 but is sold for $50 and can be applied to golf courses such as Stonewall Resort, Lakeview Resort, Scarlet Oaks and Oglebay Park Golf Courses. It can also be used towards driving range fees and miniature golf courses.
“All proceeds from the sale of the Golf Privilege Card support the American Lung Association of West Virginia’s fight against lung disease,” said Deb Qualls, special events manager at the ALA of WV. “More than 4,200 residents of West Virginia die each year. Twelve die every day from lung related diseases,” Qualls added.
The Golf Privilege Card is valid Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2009. Some courses have play restrictions and some required tee-times and cart rental. More detailed information is listed on the golf card. The card is available by calling 1-800-LUNG-USA or at www.lunginfo.org.
