Hornets Lose One Win One
Eight different Lady Hornets scored, but only one scored in double-digits as the homestanding Hundred Lady Hornets lost a 63-38 contest to the undefeated Lady Bishops of Bishop Donahue Feb. 5.
Jordyn Gorby paced Hundred with a dozen markers, including a basket from beyond the arc. Macy Woods followed with nine points, including a threeball, while Raven McDiffitt was held to six markers. Shayna Tedrow came off the bench to add four points, while Chelsea Kuhn swished a basket from downtown. Lindsay Burley netted two points, while Nancy Cumberledge and Hayley Hayes each netted a free throw.

The Hundred Hornets’ intense, pressure defense paid big dividends Monday night, enabling the host Lady Hornets to take a 19-10 lead after one period. They then had to rely the rest of the way on their defense to come away with a 51-40 victory over West Greene.
Jordyn Gorby netted 18 markers, including a pair of baskets from beyond the arc and Nancy Cumberledge added 12, including a pair of triples to lead Hundred. Macy Woods also hit in double figures with 10, while Raven McDiffitt netted nine and Chelsea Kuhn two points.
The Lady Hornets will end their regular season at home against Notre Dame on Feb. 12 and Feb. 19 against the Valley Lumberjills.
