The Magnolia Blue Eagle Cheerleaders took a step closer to the West Virginia State Class AA Cheerleading Championships Nov. 8 by winning the Region I title at Fairmont East High School.

Pictured above, in no particular order, are: Michelle Snyder, Rebecca Blair, Rebecca Patterson, Courtney Smith, Emily Amos, Maddie Bridgeman, Holly McDonald, Emily Patterson, Aly Smith, Shana Street, Makenzie Walker, Morgan Dawson, Ashton Urbanek and Ashtin Zajdowicz. The ladies are coached by Cindy Zajdowicz. 

Besides Magnolia, Hundred, Valley, Paden City and Tyler Consolidated high schools also put on fine routines. Hundred competed for the first time in years and did quite well. While the Lady ‘Jills and Lady ‘Cats didn’t qualify for the state tournament, they both had the entire crowd at East Fairmont take notice.
