Cross And Isner Win Bruce Lanes Weekly Bowling Match Play Events

Arlene Cross became the first woman and seventh different winner in the first seven weeks of the 31st annual Match Play event with a 212-180 victory over Eddie Kay.

Cross won $75, compliments of weekly sponsor KC Pro Shop. Dave Johnson was the two-game high qualifier with a 212-232 and a 24 handicap for a 483 total. Cross eliminated Justin Paliswat 240-197 in one semi final, while Kay ousted Jim Agar 239-223 in the other semi.

Jim Longwell continues to lead the Buddy Light Accounting and Chuck Ludewig Insurance Agency Point List with 165 points, with Chuck Fisherkeller (145) and Larry Henthorn (140) second and third respectively.

Gary Isner, two-time Grand Finale Champion, became the first two time- champion of the 31st Annual Match Play with a 204-164 victory over Lloyd Cross. The win was worth $75, compliments of weekly sponsor Power Country 104.

Isner slipped by Chuck Fischerkeller in a ninth and 10th frame roll off 44-24 after they tied at 174 in one semi final. Meanwhile, Cross edged Mike Hafer 198-196 in the other semi. Ron O’Neil Jr. was the second game hi qualifier with 267-226, two handicap, for a 495. Fischerkeller took over the Buddy Light Accounting and Chuck Ludewig Point List with 175 points, while Larry Henthorn stood at 150 and Jim Longwell at 165 for second and third, respectively.
