The Lady Pilots got back to their winning ways on Wednesday night, December 10, in Toronto as they drowned the Red Knights by 30 points 41-31.

River senior Zoey Fox lit up the scoreboard for a game high 15 points, including a 3-pointer to lead the way. Ava Wohnhas also landed in double figures with 11. Brayleigh Trifonoff chipped in with seven and Carleigh Trifinoff added six. Lynn Jones hit a basket for two points.

The Pilots defense held Toronto in check most of the night as they recorded 15 steals and controlled the boards with a 29-12 rebound edge.

The Pilots jumped in front early and never trailed as they held the Red Knights to four first half points. The lone bright spot for the home team was Kate Bodnar who ended with six points on a pair of 3-pointers.

River hit 19 field goals, including one 3-pointer and went 2-4 from the free throw line. Toronto only managed four baskets on the night and was 1-6 from the free throw line. The win moved River to 2-3 on the season, while Toronto has yet to win a game.
