The 2025-2026 Magnolia Blue Eagles after one week of practice hosted Class AAA Lewis County Minutemen who finished the 2024-2025 season with a 11-11 schedule against quality competition.

The Blue Eagles had some good moments, however the visitors played tight defense forcing the Blue into turnovers and capitalizing for points. Coach Tallman used a combination of players, giving everyone a chance, however they struggled to score, but will get back in the gym and work to improve before the first game on December 9, against John Marshall.

The Blue Eagles had several good looks at the basket, but failed to knock in the shots. Tallman has good height and good athletes. Once he finds the right combination the Eagles have the potential to be a tough Class A team. Christen, Brayden Byers, Scott Bailey, and Noah Hood give Magnolia a good returning group, and once they get a few games under their belt they could become a contender. Let’s go Blue Eagles!
