Magnolia’s Riley Dennis made First team All-State Cross Country with his eighth place finish at the cross country championships in Ona, WV at Cabell Midland high school. Dennis has been a class A force all season long and was winner of the OVAC meet held earlier this year. The OVAC is the largest athletic conference in the USA.

On Saturday he finished the tough course in a time of 17:35 to place in the top 10 of the state’s best Class A runners. The top 10 make up the all-state team. The second team is made up of runners 11-20.

Magnolia sent four runners to the event with Alex Yeager, Nicholas Matheney, and Parker Werkau all competing and finishing the race. The Blue Eagles were also represented by Rylee Looka doo who ran a 29:25 over the rugged course.
