Shrine Club Holds Annual Golf Outing

The Tyler County Shrine Club held its annual golf scramble on Friday, July 12th, at the scenic Sistersville Country Club, drawing a strong turnout of 48 golfers. Participants enjoyed a beautiful, sun-soaked summer day on the course, filled with friendly competition and plenty of food. The event has become a staple for local golf enthusiasts and supporters of the Shrine Clubs’ charitable mission. All proceeds from the tournament go to Shriner’s Children Hospitals.

First flight winners were Bob Spencer, Darren Glover, Randy Orndorff and Rich Erlewine. Second flight went to Mark Wilson, Corey Bohrer, Rusty Wetzel and Wayne Martin. Third flight winners included Dick Weekley, Tim Yoho, Donnie Baker and Brian Lockhart.

Organizers thanked all who participated and helped make the day a success, noting the continued community support that makes the scramble a highlight of the summer sports calendar. The Shriners would like to thank tournament sponsors VFW Sistersville, Williams Funeral Home, Don and Carla Hissam, Moose 931 and Waters Edge Resort RV Park & Restaurant. Also, thanks to the Long Reach Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the ball drop.
