The Lady Pilots got the best of the Big Reds on Friday night in Sardis, by the score of 7-1 to improve their record to 12-13.

River took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, which proved to be all they would need as Ava Wohnhas tossed a two hit game, striking out 14 batters and walking one to get the win from the mound. She also sent one out of the park with a runner on to give the home team the lead. Kaylee Hagan drilled a single and a double to drive in three runs. Jenna Talbot added a single and two RBI to round out the scoring for the Pilots.

River scored five runs in the first five innings before Bellaire scored in the top of the sixth. The Lady Pilots added two in the bottom of the inning to reach the final result. Wohnhas has now struck out 205 batters on the season. The Pilots ended with six hits and had two errors, while Bellaire played error free and fell to 8-13 on the season. Pacifico took the loss, striking out 11 and walking three.
