Silver Knights 4X800 Relay Team Sets School Record

Tyler Consolidated 4x800 meter relay team: Travis Moore, Kayden Utt, Brody Nice, and Amos Kimble.

The Silver Knights track team traveled to Parkersburg high school on Friday, May 2, to participate in the annual Erickson Invitationals and came away with a school record performance in the 4×800 meter relay. The Tyler Consolidated Boys set the record with a time of 8:36.24 from a team of sophomore Travis Moore, junior Kayden Utt, sophomore Brody Nice, and junior Amos Kimble. The team finished second in the event to Class AAAA Parkersburg who nipped them at the end.

In the 1600 meter run the Silver Kn flights Amos Kimble picked up the win with a time of 4:31.51 to give the Knights 10 points as he edged out Parkersburg’s Conner George who was second with a time of 4:32.94. The Knights Brody Nice added a point for Tyler finishing 7th in a time of 4:57.91.

Travis Moore came in second in the 3200 meter run for the Silver Knights with a time of 9:51.83 good for eight points.

Tyler Consolidated came in sixth in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 3:55.88 good for two points from a team of Jacob Henderson, Kayden Utt, Travis Moore, and Kellen Dalrymple

Silver Knight Girls finish third at Erickson Invitational

Out of 11 teams scoring the Lady Knights finished in a respectable third place with 100.5 points scored. Winning the event was Williamstown with 188 points followed by second place Parkersburg. Parkersburg South was fourth with 66 points followed by North Marion 42; Point Pleasant 34; Ravenswood 34; Wahama 29.50; Ritchie County 24; South Charleston 24; and Wirt County 5.

In the 100 meter dash the Knights Kathryn Grimm finished third with a time of 13.15 good for six points. In the 200 meter dash freshman Andi Fiber came in a close second with a time of 28.90 to give the Silver Knights eight points. Fiber was fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.94 good for five more points. Ralynn Heintzman put up a nice run in the 4×400 finishing 7th in a time of 1:07.18 to add two points to the Knights total.

Tyler’s Mackenzie Slee added a point for the Silver Knights in the 1600 meter run with a time of 7:23.84 good for 8th place and Lily Haught finished 8th in the 3200 meter run with a time of 14:26.44 good for another point.

The Silver Knights got a first place finish in the 100 meter hurdles from Lily Dillaman with a time of 16.36 to give the team 1o more points. Dillaman also added five more points to the team total with a fourth place finish in the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 50.95.

The Lady Knights finished second in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 53.02 good for eight points from a team of Bridget Doak, Bella Garuccio, Addison Blosser, and Kathryn Grimm.

In the 4×400 meter relay the Silver Knights came in fourth in a time of 4:43.13 good for five points from a team of Ralynn Heintzman, Octavia Studenic, Jayden Anderson, and Andi Fiber.

The Knights also took fourth in the 4×800 meter relay in a time of 11:37.75 good for five points from a team of Lily Haught, Addison Reed, Mya Fetty, and Camryn Westbrook.

The Lady Knights took first place in the 4×102.5 shuttle hurdle relay in a time of 1:10.14 good for 10 points from a team of Bridget Doak, Bella Garuccio, Addison Blosser, and Lily Dillaman.

Kathryn Grimm came up big in the high jump winning the event with a jump of 4-10.00 good for 10 more Silver Knight points. Jayden Anderson took 7th place with a jump of 4-06 good for two points and Imary Snider tied for 8th with a jump of 4-04.00 good for .05 points.

Ralynn Heintzman finished fifth in the pole vault with a vault of 8-00 good for four Silver Knight points. Addison Blosser got off a nice jump in the long jump to finish third with a leap of 15-07.25 good for six points. Juliana Lattea finished in fourth place with a fine leap of 15-01.00 good for five points.

In the shot put Juliana Lattea had a heave of 34-00.50 good for fourth place and five points.
