Hundred Gets Win Over Harman

Hundred picked up a win on Tuesday, April 29, doubling up Harman high school 8-4 with Richard Derby getting the win on the mound. The Hornets made the trip over to Randolph County to take on the home team Panthers who were looking for revenge for an earlier loss to the visitors, but Hundred got some strong pitching from Derby who came on in the the fourth inning with the game tied at 3-3 to record seven strikeouts and hold the Panthers to one run the rest of the way for the victory.
Derby also had a hard hit deep double to center field in the top of the six to drive in three runs to break the game open and send the Hornets on to the win. Adding to Hundred’s total was Ryley Wright who went 2-3 from the plate with a single and a homerun for a pair of RBI. Teagan Pevarnik and Julian Conaway each went 2-4 with two singles, while driving in a run, while Noah Smith brought home a run with a sharp hit single to account for all of the Hornet’s scoring.
Ariel Hall had two singles for Hundred in three at bats. Austin LaRue drew three walks and added four stolen bases. The Hornets totaled out nine walks from the Panthers and recorded 11 stolen bases.
