The Lady Blue Eagles hosted the Lady Cadets on Monday evening April 14th at Hydro Field and fell to the visitors 12-6. The Cadets plated a run in the top of the first and added six more in the second inning to set the tone for the game. Two more runs in the top of the third and they were on their way to the victory. The Cadets had 12 runs on 12 hits and left 10 runners stranded on base. The Cadets improved their record to (4-10) with the victory, while Magnolia fell to (5-5) on the season. The Lady Blue Eagles pounded six hits and six runs. Magnolia plated a run in the bottom of the first inning to tie the contest before Linsly took command. The Eagles never scored again until the bottom of the fifth and sixth added five runs over the two innings, but it wasn’t enough leaving 9 runners stranded on base in the loss.

Magnolia got two hits and an RBI from Jessa Anderson, Mallory McDiffitt added a hit with 3 RBI’s, and Caroline Heil added a hit and two RBI’s in the loss. McDiffitt suffered the loss on the mound striking out 7, walking 8.

The Cadets got a double and single, for 4 RBI’s from Van Scyoc and Applegarth had two hits and two RBI’s. in the victory. Kathy Joanou doubled in two runs. Gardil had a double, Beth Ghaphery had a pair of singles, and Kim Ghaphery added a double with an RBI. Heath has a single, Ann Kotson two stolen bases and Lily Applegarth knocked in a pair of runs.
