The Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights played host to rival Magnolia on Monday night January 20 in a make-up game that was postponed on Thursday in the first round of the Boggs Roundball Classic. The Lady Knights jumped out early to lead the Lady Blue Eagles 15-10 after the first quarter and never looked back taking the win by the score of 54-31. Things got worse for the Blue Eagles as they only managed five points in the second quarter while the host Knights added 12 to lead 27-15 at the break. The second half was no different as the Knights scored 27 points and held the Eagles to 16.

Juliana Lattea poured in a game high 17 points followed by Katie Grimm with 11. The Knights knocked down five 3-pointers with Ryland Henderson hitting three of those to finish with nine points while Macie Highley, Andi Fiber and Addison Reed each had four for the now (4-9) Lady Knights.

Magnolia was led by freshmen guards Kaylee Yost with 12 and Bella Sockman with eight. Gabby Hudson hit one from behind the arc and added a foul shot to finish with four points. The loss dropped the Blue Eagles to (3-7) on the season.

The Lady Knights will have a busy week as they now travel to Doddridge on Tuesday January 21 then meet in a rematch with Magnolia in the Rotary Challenge on Friday in New Martinsville. The week ends with a rescheduled game against Oak Glen on Saturday at the Castle.
