Wildcats Pick Up Much Needed Win

The Paden City Wildcats finally got to play a game and picked up a big win over the Van Bulldogs on Saturday, January 18 at Bob Burton Gymnasium in Paden City in boys basketball action by the score of 66-47. It was the Wildcats all the way as they never trailed and jumped on Van early to lead 15-4 after the first quarter. Van made a small comeback in the second period outscoring the Cats 17-12 but still trailed at halftime 27-21. In the third quarter Paden City kept the momentum going and led 43-29 heading to the fourth. Brayden Neff had a big night and led all scorers with 32 points followed by teammate Jessup Higgins with 19. Six Wildcats would hit the scoring column with Luke Anderson scoring five, Isaiah Anderson and Jake Billiter each with three. Skyler Wright chipped in with two for the victorious Wildcats.
