Gavin Derby

Several local athletes were named to the 2024 All Valley teams in their respective sports.

Volleyball: First team honoree Sienna McKeever, outside hitter and Jessa Anderson, outside hitter, both from Magnolia High School, were named to the Volleyball First Team. Named to the Second Team All Valley was Katie Grimm from Tyler Consolidated. Honorable Mention honorees included Sydney Knight and Madison Owens both from Magnolia, Kayli West, Tyler Consolidated, Kallie Hammel and Maci Isaly both from River.

Cross Country: Amos Kimble, Tyler Consolidated was named as Captain of the First Team. Also honored on the First Team was Landen Davis from Magnolia. Amos dominated for the Silver Knights in his junior season, grabbing first place in the WV State Meet. Amos finished over 20 seconds ahead of second place. Kimble also finished in first place in the Class A Region 1 Meet.

Football: Gavin Derby from Valley took home First Team Honors. Second team members included Garrett Bordenkircher and Branson Winfrey both from Tyler Consolidated. Also named to the second team was Owen Morgan, Valley. Honorable Mention honors went to Lucas Dennis and Parker Bennett both from River, Landon Streets, Finn Loy and Anthony Lancaster all from Magnolia and Joey Barr from Valley High School.
