Hundred Gets Win Over Wood County Christian
The Hornets picked up a win on Thursday night, February 23, inside the Hornets Nest 48-46 as they hosted the Wildcats of Wood County Christian in boys basketball action.
In a nip and tug battle both teams left the fans in doubt until Hundred finally fought off a rally from the Cats to get the win. Leading the way for the Hornets was Brayden Bartrug who took game scoring honors with 16 points, including a 3-pointer. He got scoring help from freshman Toby Michaels with 11 markers, while Josiah Morgan canned seven and Trey Hugging added six. Everett Johnson ended with four points, and Karter Parson and Tyler Sleeth each had two to round out the scoring.
Wood County Christian received 10 points each from Seiger and Dimit. Joseph added seven and Parsley hit for six in support. The Wildcats made 17 shots from the floor, including six 3-pointers, and made 6-14 from the free throw line.
Hundred hit 20 field goals, including one 3-pointer, and made 7-12 from the free throw line. The Hornets led in rebounds 36-23.
