Valley Falls To Beallsville
Visiting Beallsville came in to Pine Grove on Tuesday night, January 24, and left with a 59-54 upset of the Lumberjacks. In a close contest throughout the Blue Devils managed to pull it out in the fourth quarter with a come from behind win.
Gavin Derby ended as the games leading scorer for the Lumberjacks with 26 points, including two 3-pointers, and Patrick Higgenbotham added 10, with a 3-pointer, however it wasnát enough to overcome the balanced scoring of Beallsville who ended with three players in double figures.
Allen led the way for the Blue Devils with 20 markers, followed by Taylor with 18 and Perkins with 10, Hughes added nine and Hagan had two.
ValLey received nine points from Trevor Stackpole, three from Dallas Preat, and two each from Briggs Anderson and Chris Kennedy. The Lumberjacks hit 17 shots from the floor and went 14-22 from the free throw line. Beallsville canned 23 field goals and went 7-15 from the free throw line.
