Hornets Fall To Cee Bee’s
Hundred hosted Clay Battelle on Friday night, at the Hornets nest in hopes of upsetting the visitors, however the Cee Bee’s proved to be to much and took home a 64-31 victory. Led by Kolton St. Clair who knocked in 21 points in limited playing time the Visitors jumped in front early and never looked back running their record to 8-5 on the season while dropping the Hornets to 3-8.
Hundred was led by senior Colt Sandy who hit for 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. He was backed by Brayden Bartrug with eight points, while Josiah Morgan added four, and Jeffery Morris, Karter Parson, and Tyler Sleeth all had a basket. Toby Michael hit a free throw for a point.
For the Cee Bee’s, they received nine points each from Brayden Ponceroff and Preston Luzader. Carson Shriver and Colby Barr each added six, while Adam Kolat and Matthew Gaad each hit four. JC Spears hit a 3-pointer and Cooper Payton finished with two.
The visitors nailed 24 field goals, including eight 3ás and went 10-17 from the free throw line. Hundred canned 13 shots from the floor, including three from beyond the arc, and went 2-8 from the charity stripe.
Cameron Crushes Hornets
Cameron got their second win of the season over Hundred on Tuesday night, January 17, at the Hornets nest as they cruised past the home team with an easy 56 point win 84-28.
The Dragons now stand at 7-4 on the season and are the 5th ranked team in Class A in the state. The Hornets fell to 3-7 with the loss.
Cameron jumped on the home team from the get-go and led 20-5 at the end of the first eight minutes, and upped the margin to 45-16 at the break. The Dragons ended with four players in twin digits as Lance Hartley poured in 19 points to lead the way, while playing a little over half a game. He was backed by Mason Scott with 17, Cole Burkett with 15, and Colton Winters with 14.
The Hornets were led by Colt Sandy with 13 points, including a 3-pointer. Brayden Bartrug and Everett Johnson each accounted for five points, while Josiah Morgan and Jeffery Morris each hit a basket. Tyler Sleeth added a point on a free throw.
Cameron hit 35 shots from the floor, including nine 3-pointers, and went 5-10 from the free throw line. Hundred canned 12 field goals, including one three and went 3-9 from the free throw line.
