River Pilot Season Ends

The River Pilots lost their last two games of the season last week, losing 52-38 to Tusky Catholic in the Ohio District IV tournament in New Philadelphia and then to Monroe Central 66-60 in the OVAC Class-AAA third- place game.

After an 11-11 first period, Tusky outscored the Pilots in the final three periods to move on in the tournament. Lukas Isaly scored a team-high 16 points, while Ryan Indermuhle added nine points to lead the Pilots.

In addition, Parker Caretti claimed eight points, while Cole Isaly sank a threeball and Joey Flannery made a pair of charity tosses.

Monroe Central 66, River 360

Monroe Central held off a gallant effort by the Pilots to claim the third slot in OVAC Class-AAA by the score of 66-60 last week in Woodsfield.

Lukas Isaly nailed eight three-pointers, en route to a game-high 26 points, while Caretti netted eight point. In addition, Curtis and Flannery each scored seven points, while Indermuhle added six markers. Cole Isaly added five points that included a threeball, while Blaze Amos ended all the Pilot scoring with a made free throw.
