By Staff | Mar 4, 2015

Bishop Donahue opened the Region I, Section II tournament game on a 15-0 run and didn’t look back en route to a humbling 83-41 victory over Hundred inside the John Marshall Fieldhouse Feb. 28.

Holden Moore paced the Hornets with a team-high 18 points, including a pair of baskets from beyond the arc, while senior Brandon Armstrong contributed eight points and a game-high 16 rebounds in his last game as a Hornet.

In addition, Andrew King tacked on seven markers, while Joe Mars sank four points. Danny Stewart and Hunter Goddard both finished with a deuce.

For the Bishops, Taylor Staughn recorded 19 points to lead the Bishop charge, while Jesse Padlow knocked in 18 more. Brett Moore finished with 14 points, while Josh Miller contributed a dozen markers for all the Donahue double-digit scoring.

The win by Bishop will now pit them against Magnolia Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the John Marshall Fieldhouse, with the winner moving on to the Region I, Section I championship against either Wheeling Central or Cameron. The loser of that sectional will head home.
