Hornets Drop OVAC Game

By Staff | Feb 26, 2015

Holden Moore netted a team-high 22 points that included four bonus bombs, and Brandon Armstrong contributed a double-double. But it wasn’t strong enough to get past the host Barnesville Shamrocks, who won 66-52 in the OVAC consolation game Feb. 23.

The Shamrocks forged ahead 16-12 after one period and held a 40-28 lead at the break. Hundred outscored the hosts 12-7 in the third, but Barnesville ended the game with a 19-12 run to gain the nod.

Armstrong scored 10 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, while Andrew King netted eight markers. Danny Stewart provided six points, while Danny Kolat sank four. In addition, Hunter Goddard, Logan Moore and Ethan Geho each sank a deuce for all the Hundred scoring.
