Pilots’ Season Ends At District
The Lady Pilot volleyball season concluded with three straight set loses to Tuscarawas Central Catholic in the Division IV District semifinals at Buckeye Trail High School Oct. 20.
In all three sets, the outcome was never in doubt, as Tuscarawas was too hot to handle on this night, winning 25-9, 25-8 and 25-8 giving River volleyball a season record of 17-5.
Brissa Marshall had the only double-digit stat of the night for the Pilots with 10 digs, while Monica Curtis bumped up four digs. Mackenzie Wade added seven digs, while Mackenzie Marshall made two and Jensen Caretti one. Caretti was held to a season- low two kills and paced the Pilots with two points, while Mackenzie Marshall contributed one marker. Amanda Bennett contributed a kill, while Curtis dished out two assists.
