Binni Defeats Johnson In Finale

Ed Binni became the fifth different winner in as many week by defeating Dave Johnson 258-191 in the championship match. Binni averaged 236 for his five games enroute to winning $55, compliments of this week’s sponsor, RD Wilson and Sons.

Binni also was the two-game high qualifier with games of 245-226, 24 handicap for a 495 total. He eliminated Larry Henthorn 259-189 in one semifinal while Johnson edged last week’s winner, Chuck Fischerkeller, 250-244 in the other semi-final.

With his victory, Binni is tied with Dave Johnson, Jeff Gunn, and Gary Isner at 115 points on the Point List. The top 24 on the list qualify for the 37th Annual Grande Finale, where the champion will win $1,000, based on entries. J.C.
