Pro Wrestling

Pro wrestling will be held in the City of Sistersville on Sept. 20, 2-4 p.m. This event, known as the Sistersville Slam, will take place in the James Willison Family Center, otherwise known as the old high school gym, on Work Street.

Tickets are $6 for bleachers, $10 for ringside, and children six years of age and younger are admitted for free. Advanced tickets are now available at Sistersville City Hall and tickets will be made available at the door of the James Willison Family Center the day of the show.

The event is sponsored by Black Diamond Wrestling in conjunction with the Sistersville Parks and Recreation Board.

Golf Scramble

The Sistersville General Hospital Benefit Golf Scramble will be held Sept. 17 at the Sistersville Country Club. A shotgun start for the four-person scramble will be held at 10 a.m. There is a limited field for the 18-hole event, so enter early.

Entry fee is $100 for a single golfer or $400 for a team. Sistersville Country Club members receive a $15 discount. Carts are included in entry fee.

There are monetary prizes for first and second places. There will also be skill prizes. A new car or cash will go to anyone making a hole-in-one on Number 1.

WV Hunter Education Class Offered

A West Virginia Hunter Education Course will be held at the Wetzel County 4-H Camp on Saturday Sept. 20 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sunday Sept. 21 from 1-5 p.m. This class is open to anyone 10 years of age and older. Anyone wanting to take this class must register before Sept. 19. Proof of identification will be required. To register or for more information please call 304-398-4240 after 6 p.m. Upon completion, students will receive certification good in all 50 states.
