The Paden City Volleyball Team won its own Spike Out at Bob Burton Gymnasium last week.

The River Lady Pilots won the pool play with a 5-1 record, beating Paden City, 25-15, then losing 23-25. The Pilots defeated Valley 20-25 and 21-25; Frontier, 20-25 and 21-25. The Lady ‘Cats split with Valley 25-20 and 21-25 and defeated Frontier 25-23 and 25-21, while the Lumberjills lost to Frontier 25-21 and 25-22 in a great pool play tournament.

The Lady Pilots earned the top seed, defeating Valley and Frontier in the semifinals. River won over Paden City in the opener, 25-21, but the Lady ‘Cats clawed their way back, winning the next two matches, 23-25 and 19-25 to win the Spike Out.
