The Graysville Community Association (Fish Creek) will be sponsoring their annual coon hunt Oct. 26. All coon hunters are welcome. This is not a licensed event. Entry fee is $20/person and each entrant will receive a t-shirt or hat. All food is free. Hunters must be signed up at the community building between 5 p.m. and before the deadline at 7 p.m. and return home before the deadline, which is midnight. Coons will not be scored after the deadline. There will be prizes, raffles, and door prizes. For more information, call 843-5263 or 455-1342.

The Ohio Valley Board Of Football Officials is seeking new candidates to officiate high school football. The 2014 training class will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. on July 22 at Generations in Wheeling. There will be a WVSSAC and a OHSAA license fee. All attendees will be eligible to officiate at the lower level in 2014. For further information contact Joe Koler at 304-242-7198.

Pleasants County Area Volleyball will be hosting a volleyball camp for girls entering grades 5-12 June 25-27 at the Pleasants County Middle School in Belmont.

The camp will be conducted by Mitch Jacobs, Marshall University’s head coach and Assistant Coach Matt Jackson, with assistance from the Marshall University women’s volleyball team.

The cost is $100 for grades 9-12 and $90 for grades 5-8. The camp is limited to 64 athletes. If there are open spots, registration will be accepted at the door. Contact Alissa McPeek at 740-473-1339 or 740-350-1640 or email amcpeek@access.k12.wv.us for more information.

The Ohio Valley Volleyball Board is offering an officiating training class May 22-July 24. Classes will be held on Thursdays at Sistersville Elementary School from 6-9 pm. Trainees are required to complete 30 hours of course work (20 hours of class time and 10 hours of court time), pass a medical physical and must pass a written exam.
