Hornets Lose

By Staff | Apr 30, 2014

Davin Copeland smacked a single and a double, while teammates Robert and Steve Morris combined with a single, a double, a triple, and an RBI.

But, it wasn’t strong enough to keep the St. John Fighting Irish from winning 15-3 over Hundred April 24 in Bellaire.

After the Hornets took a 2-0 lead to open the game, the Irish would score six runs in each of their first two frames to gain the nod.

Brandon Armstrong and Josh King each knocked in a run. King, Copeland, and Hunter Goddard took turns on the mound, combining to walk 11 batters with King striking out two and Goddard one.
