Rotary Golf Scramble On Tap

Jackson and Kelly, Dr. Ben Kocher and Universal Blast are the latest businesses to become hole sponsors for the annual Rotary Golf Scramble, set for April 26 at Moundsville Country Club. The event begins with a shotgun start at 2 p.m.

Other sponsors at this time are EM Media; Riverside Animal Clinic; Dr. Mike Barnes; Occasions; Brian Feldmeier; Marble King, Beri Fox; New Martinsville Chiropractic; Dr. Nunzio Pagano; Dr. Neil Marshall; Buddy Light Accounting and Wayside Furniture.

In addition, Tim Haught, Attorney at Law; Dr. David Bridgeman; J.C. Mensore Distributors; Bruce Bowling Lanes; WesBanco; Dr. Jay Cunningham; Doan Ford-Lincoln; Try County Hearing Center; Chuck Ludewig Insurance; RMLL; Dr. Rick Suyao; McDonald’s Restaurants; Union Bank and West Virginia Sen. Larry Edgell.

The first-place team will win $500 cash prize, with the first runner-up receiving a $300 award and the second runner-up being awarded $200,

In addition, there will be prizes for the longest drive on holes two and 15, and for the closest to the pin o holes 3,5, 11 and 15.

Today is the registration deadline for the event, with checks made payable to New Martinsville Rotary.

A foursome team is $260 and individuals may register for $65 per player.

Appropriate golf dress is required, including collard shirt, soft spikes and no jogging pants.

Funds raised through the scramble help support the annual Rotary Scholarships.
