NM?Junior Baseball/Softball Signups

The New Martinsville Junior Baseball/Softball Association will be holding signups at the New Martinsville School cafeteria on Feb. 17 and March 4 between 6-8 p.m. both days.

The cost is $40 for one player, $60 for two players and $80 for three or more players from a single family.

Any signups taken after March 4 will be charged a $10 late fee. With no exceptions, additional signups will not be taken after March 8. For additional information or questions, contact Ron Nice at 304-455-5078.

Bellaire Basketball Tournament

The Bellaire Sports Foundation, Buffalo Wild Wings and Burger King will hold a grades 5/6 boys’ basketball tournament in mid-to-late February, with exact dates depending on the number of teams entering.

Entry fee is $75 with a guarantee of three games and awards to first and second place teams and individuals. Rosters requested. For more information, contact Bruce Young at 304-280-2154 or email byoung@bellaire.k12.oh.us.

B&B Classic Middle School

Girls’ Basketball Tournament

The fourth Annual B&B Classic Middle School Girls’ Tournament will be held on March 22-23 in Moundsville. There will be three divisions for sixth, seventh and eighth grade. Games will be played at Moundsville Middle School and inside the John Marshall Field House.

AAU?Basketball Club To Hold Tryouts

Spring Youth Basketball Tournament

On Tap In St Marys

The North American Youth Sports annual spring youth basketball tournament in the St. Marys area still has openings on April 11-13.

This tournament will feature 10 different brackets. They include 5-6, 7th, 8th, 9-10th, 11-12th grade boys; and 5-6, 7th, 8th, 9-10th, and 11-12th grade girls. All grades are based on the grade in which a student is currently enrolled.

The entry fee for this tournament is $115 and guarantees each team a minimum of two games. Deadline is March 21.

Marshall County Basketball Club

To Sponsor Tournament

The Marshall County Basketball Club will be sponsoring a girls’ basketball tournament beginning Friday, Feb. 21. The tournament will have separate divisions for 4th, 5th, & 6th grade. Each team is guaranteed three games and awards will be presented to the 1st & 2nd place teams. Entry fee is only $85. Annual Cystic Fibrosis

Basketball Classic Set

The 13th Annual OH vs. WV Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis Basketball Classic will take place on Saturday, March 29 at Parkersburg South High School.

The girls game will tip off at 5 p.m. with the boys starting at approximately 7 p.m. Senior players from West Virginia and Ohio in the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding areas are eligible to participate. To nominate a player or for more information regarding the game, contact Bill Camp at 304-483-8922.

West Virginia Hunter Education

Class Offered

A West Virginia Hunter Education Course will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 16 from 1 p.m. till 5 p. m. This class is open to anyone 10 years of age and older. Any one wanting to take this class must register before March 14. Proof of identification will be required. To register or for more information please call 304-398-4240 after 6 p. m . Upon completion you will receive certification good in all 50 states. The Class will be held at the Wetzel County 4 H camp .

Paden City H.I.T. Boys Championship

Paden City will play the Division II H.I.T. championship Saturday in Hico, WV at Midland Trail High School at 4 p.m., while the girls team takes on Madonna at TCHS in sectional play at 1 p.m.
