Beallsville 85,

Hundred 47

Hundred’s Holden Moore scored a team-high 14 points, including a pair of three point baskets, but it wasn’t enough to get past Beallsville, 85-47, in boys basketball action at the Hornets Nest Jan. 15.

Greg Stewart followed with 10 points, while Hunter Goddard netted eight markers, including two bonus baskets. Andrew King netted six markers, while Devon Kimble swished a threeball. In addition, Joe Mars, Danny Stewart and Danny Kolat each posted a deuce.

For the visitors, Dalton Secrest led all Blue Devil scorers with 24 markers, while Triston Palmer added 17 points and Logan Nippert swished five baskets from beyond the arc.

Notre Dame 87,

Hundred 48

Moore torched the nets for a game-high 21 points. But it wasn’t quite enough to overcome Notre Dame, who prevailed 87-48 in Clarksburg Jan. 10.

Greg Stewart contributed a double-double, 13 points and 10 rebounds, while making three steals. Goddard and Mars each scored five points, while Mars pulled down six boards, and Kimble ended the Hornet scoring with four markers.

“We couldn’t make a shot in the first half, but our ball movement and defensive rotation were pretty good,” said Bartlett. “They made their shots and in the second half, we knocked down ours.”
