‘Jacks Succumb To Devils

The Beallsville Blue Devils outscored the Valley Lumberjacks by eight points during the two middle periods and held off a fourth-quarter Lumberjack rally to gain their first victory of the season, 79-74, Dec. 30 at Beallsville High School in boys’ basketball action.

Joey Preat scored a team-high 16 points, while Trey Streets and Triston Kocher knocked in 15 and 14 points, respectively, to pace the Lumberjack squad.

Tucker Cain followed with nine markers and Hayden Lancaster netted six points. In addition, Lathe Ueltschy knocked down a triple and a deuce, while Jack Wells netted a pair of baskets. Dusty Lowe garnered three markers, while Taylor Bates swished a deuce.
