Emily Rine scored 10 points for the Lady Hornets, but it wasn’t enough to get by Cameron 52-30 Dec., 11 inside the Hornets Nest.

Lindsay Jones added eight points, while Paige Shriver and Josie Phillips each tacked on five markers and Ashley Miller a deuce.

West Greene 48,

Hundred 34

West Greene raced out to a 16-2 lead after one period and held on to defeat Hundred 48-34 in girls’ basketball action Dec. 9 inside the Hornets Nest.

Jones scored a team-high 12 points, while Shriver and Phillips each recorded six markers. Rine followed with five points, while Nikki Cunningham added four points. In addition, Valerie Soles tallied a deuce and hauled in a game-high 10 rebounds and six blocked shots.,

In the junior varsity game, Rine and Miller each scored three points, but the team would fall 29-14.

Beallsville 43,

Hundred 33

Soles and Jones each scored eight points, but again it wasn’t enough to keep victory away from Beallsville Lady Blue Devils, who won 43-33 in Hundred Dec. 5.

Soles grabbed seven off the glass and blocked six shots, while Jones hauled in eight rebounds. In addition, Rine scored six points, while Phillips and Meliah Umstead each recorded four points.

In the junior varsity game, the Lady Hornets took care of business and won a 23-22 thriller. Umstead led the way with eight points, while Rine netted seven.
